BBC Radio 3 Summer Invitation Concert: Clyne, Elgar, Schumann
Come along to the Ulster Hall, Belfast on 04 August 2022 for the first event in this year’s series of FREE BBC Radio 3 Summer Invitation Concerts with the Ulster Orchestra.
The soloist is Gabriel Schwabe, a laureate of three of the world‘s most prestigious cello competitions: the Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann in Berlin, the Concours Rostropovich in Paris and the Pierre Fournier Award in London. Angus Webster, a former student of Esa-Pekka Salonen and winner of the 2018 Jorma Panula International Conducting Competition, conducts.

The Shamrock Tenors
Northern Ireland’s newest five-piece harmony, The Shamrock Tenors, are set to make their much-anticipated Belfast Debut at the iconic Ulster Hall this August.
The electric five-piece harmony and multi-instrumental group, combine traditional melodies with exciting modern-day vocals, with hit songs such as the Wild Rover, Whiskey in the Jar and Dirty Old Town.
Formed in 2018, the group have performed to audiences in over four continents in the last two years alone. Their first two singles shot to number 1 on the iTunes World Music Charts and their videos online have amassed over six million views. Their "Back in Belfast" show will feature an incredible group of live musicians, with some surprise guests thrown in along the way.

This brand-new show for 2022 once again features the outstanding vocal talents of Claire Furley, with Musical Director Phil Aldridge leading The Carpenters Story band as they re-create Richard Carpenter’s original orchestral arrangements.
