In the same year that Lady Mary Peters marks 50 years since her Olympic Gold Medal win in Munich, this exclusive evening in the intimate surroundings of the Waterfront Studio on 10 March 2022 celebrates some of the best women in sport from across the UK and Ireland.
Hosted by UTV Sports Correspondent Ruth Gorman, this female-focused event welcomes Olympic Gold Medallist and national treasure Lady Mary Peters, double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, Northern Ireland Women’s Football Captain Marissa Callaghan and six-time Paralympic Gold Medallist, Bethany Firth for an evening of captivating conversation and interviews.
This event, the first of its kind to be held in Northern Ireland, celebrates women and the power of sport, marking International Women’s Day, as well as raising much-needed funds for the Mary Peters Trust, Northern Ireland’s leading sporting charity helping young people, both disabled and able-bodied to reach their sporting dreams and ambitions.
