Celebrating their 30th Birthday Party, New Irish Arts will be putting on a show at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast on 27 & 28 September 2024!
Best known for their annual Christmas extravaganza, Ireland in Christmas Praise, New Irish Arts is delighted to be celebrating its 30th birthday with a gala concert in the Waterfront Hall. This one-off event will feature the New Irish Choir and Orchestra and our fabulous Youth Choirs in a huge and vibrant celebration. The programme will focus on giving thanks – for the beauty of the created world, for the joy of making music, for the support of our audiences over the years, and also for the love of God which can be experienced by every human being.
Music will span a huge range of styles including beautiful classical choral works, contemporary Christian worship songs, Gospel and some fabulous new symphonic hymn arrangements where the whole audience can become part of the sound. As part of our audience, you’ll get the chance to feature in our new live album, which is due for release at Christmas!
Special guests will include American singer/songwriter Laura Story, writer of Blessings, Indescribable and Come Unto Jesus – Following a wonderful appearance with us in 2019 Laura is incredibly excited about returning to Belfast to work with us again. We will also feature a number of local artists and guests, and there’ll be one or two surprises too!
Producer and Creative Director, Jonathan Rea: "I believe that beauty comes ultimately from God – and that our expressions of beauty and creativity are a reflection of the fact that we are made in God’s image. New Irish has spent the last 30 years using The Arts to encourage people to worship God. We want you to feel at home with us as we celebrate this landmark – whether you are passionately Christian or have no religious interest at all.”
We believe you’ll find this unique concert inspiring and hugely enjoyable! Don’t miss it! - Jonathan Rea
