Ulster Orchestra – Rhapsody In Blue in Ulster Hall on 09 October 2026
Julian Josoeph is, quite simply, one of the leading British jazz pianists performing today and his interpretation of Gershwin’s classic Rhapsody In Blue promises a hugely exciting evening. Julian will also perform movements from his own Nine Elms Suite, an emotive musical response to the Nine Elms area of London.
We close with Bernstein’s explosive music for the ballet Fancy Free, which places us firmly in downtown New York in 1944, with all its influences of stride, swing and boogie-woogie.
