Valentine’s Day gig next in series sharing love for emerging artists
Award-winning local musician Sister Ghost will be the latest artist to perform as part of the Studio Sessions at Waterfront Hall, it has been announced.
Recently named ‘Best Live Act’ at the Northern Ireland Music Prize held at the historic Ulster Hall, Sister Ghost will bring her signature blend of grunge, dark power-pop, and electrifying energy to the Waterfront Studio as part of the series designed to support the region’s flourishing music scene.
The gig, taking place on Valentine’s Day next year, offers an all-female line up with the art-rock powerhouse joined by special guests A.N.J.A and Cora Harkin.
Following the critical acclaim of her debut album ‘Beyond The Water’ (NI Music Prize Album Of The Year 2025 Finalist), and a busy live schedule including supporting Snow Patrol on their arena tour, Sister Ghost has become widely acknowledged as one of Ireland’s boldest rock voices -praised by The Guardian, KEXP and BBC Radio for the depth of emotion reflected in her music.
Speaking about the gig, Sister Ghost commented:
It’s a thrill to see tickets now on sale for this gig, one which I am very much looking forward to. It’s important to me that I can use any platform I have to showcase other local acts and I am delighted to be joined by A.N.J.A and Cora Harkin.
"We’re planning on serving up a night of mind-blowing music where matters of the heart and rock ‘n’ roll collide. It’s an event for anyone who prefers their Valentine’s Day with a little bit of bite!”
Peter McKevitt, Head of Entertainment at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall, commented:
What better way to continue our Studio Sessions series than with the recent winner of Best Live Act at the Northern Ireland Music Prize.
"Sister Ghost is building a loyal following, in this part of the world and elsewhere, for good reason. She is an exciting talent who we are delighted to support. Her work is representative of the upwards trajectory we’re seeing when it comes to local emerging artists from across the region playing bigger and bigger live gigs. We’re proud to offer a platform which can help fuel this growing scene.”
Sister Ghost will play as part of the Studio Sessions at the Waterfront Studio on Saturday 14 February 2026 starting at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm. A limited number of early bird tickets available for £10 via The Studio Sessions: Sister Ghost | 14 February 2026 | Waterfront Studio
