Music Manager Resource, an online platform built to help musicians, songwriters and managers navigate the business side of a music career, will mark the official launch of its website with a free, in person event on Monday 2 November 2026 at the Waterfront Hall's Studio in Belfast, running from 10am to 12pm.
Why The Site Was Built
Music Manager Resource was created by Peter McVeigh, an active musician and a qualified lecturer in Music and Music Technology with hands on experience across the Northern Ireland, UK, European and United States music and education sectors.
After years of seeing musicians and songwriters struggle with the business side of their careers, registering royalties correctly, understanding contracts, planning a release, or simply finding reliable guidance in one place, Peter set out to build a single, practical resource to cover it: royalties with PRS, PPL and MCPS, contracts, release planning, funding and more. Every article and guide on the site is available to everyone, free of charge, with no information locked behind a paywall.
What The Site Offers, And What's Next
The site runs on a tiered membership model, Free, Emerging and Professional, but the information itself is never gated: every industry article, guide and written lesson is free to read for any visitor.
Upgrading unlocks extra convenience and depth rather than extra information, full access to the site's video lessons and podcast library, and wider access to its 30-plus practical apps and tools, from an invoice generator to royalty split calculators and contract generators. Membership fees go directly toward supporting the time and cost of producing that video, audio and tool content.
The site also includes industry articles published weekly, including a new “This Week in UK & Ireland Music” roundup covering news and opportunities across every UK nation and Ireland, a growing collection of downloadable templates and checklists, and a members forum where musicians and managers can connect with each other directly, free for everyone to read and join.
Looking ahead, plans for the site include expanding the video library, continuing the weekly UK & Ireland music roundup, growing the community forum, and introducing further free resources through the site's Starter Pack for new members.
What To Expect From The Launch Event
The launch event is free to attend and open to anyone with an interest in the music industry, from emerging artists to managers and industry professionals. Doors open at 9:15am with free tea and coffee for anyone who would like to arrive early and chat before the event starts.
The programme includes:
• A live showcase of the website and its tools
• A live music performance
• A live conversation about the music industry
• An open Q&A and requests session, where attendees can ask questions and share what they would like to see from the site
Peter McVeigh, founder of Music Manager Resource, said:
“This event is about bringing the community together in person for the first time. I want people to leave knowing exactly what the site can do for them, but just as importantly, I want to hear from them directly: what they need, what's missing, and how we can keep building this together.”
