Join Cancer Fund for Children for its much-loved annual Twilight Concert, an unforgettable evening of music, inspiration and connection at Belfast's iconic Ulster Hall on 29 November 2026.
Hosted by radio presenter Rebecca McKinney, this special event brings together outstanding musical performances with powerful stories of hope and resilience and will raise vital funds to help the charity support children, young people, and families living with the impact of cancer.
Nestled in the flickering glow of candlelight, attendees will be treated to a mesmerising evening of music and connection with performances included the charity’s own Care Free Choir, made up of families supported by the charity, staff and volunteers. Meeting regularly to sing, connect and support one another, the Care Free Choir provides a safe and uplifting space where members can find friendship and a sense of belonging through a shared love of music.
For many members, the choir has become an important part of rebuilding confidence and rediscovering joy beyond cancer. As one parent living with a cancer diagnosis describes:
"Being sick takes away all control, strips you of your identity at times and leaves you feeling depleted. Being part of choir reverses that. I remember my first ever time at choir. I felt like me again; strong, fun and confident. I felt understood without having to say a word. I felt full again."
This sense of connection, empowerment and hope lies at the heart of the Twilight Concert and reflects the life-changing support that Cancer Fund for Children provides to families across the island of Ireland.
The choir will be joined by talented violinist Romeo Jiang. A former member of the Ulster Youth Orchestra, Romeo's passion for music has been a source of strength throughout his own cancer journey. Having previously performed at the Twilight Concert, Romeo returns to the stage with his exceptional talent and inspiring story of resilience.
Audiences can also look forward to performances from a range of special musical guests, alongside impact moments that shine a light on how Cancer Fund for Children supports children, young people and families across the island of Ireland. Through inspiring performances and powerful stories, audiences will gain a deeper understanding of the charity's mission to ensure no child faces cancer alone.
Whether you are a long-standing supporter of the charity or attending for the first time, the Twilight Concert promises an evening filled with extraordinary talent, heartfelt reflection and unforgettable moments that will remain with you long after the final note has been played.

Each week in Northern Ireland, approximately 3 children and young people (aged 0-24) are diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Fund for Children provide emotional, social and therapeutic support to children, young people and families impacted by cancer. This support is provided at home, in hospital and at the charity’s therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge in Co. Down. The charity’s second Daisy Lodge located in Cong, Co. Mayo, is currently under construction and due to open in Spring 2027.
Purchasing tickets to this event will help fund Cancer Fund for Children’s vital services so they can continue to be there for families when they need them most.
